Why is a service information page redirecting to a news article?

Sometimes you may find that your service page will automatically redirect to a news article or event. This is down to Wordpress's routing algorithm. It will always prioritise custom post types (such as news, blog, and events) over our bespoke service pages. 

In order to resolve this issue, you will need to edit the news article itself and change the slug. Please make sure the slug doesn't look similar to the service name. Here is a quick video to show you how: 

Step 1) Log in to WordPress, navigate to the article in question and click 'Edit News Article'

Step 2) Head over to 'Permalink' (which is directly underneath the news article title) and click the edit button. 

Step 3) Change the slug to something relevant and make sure the permalink doesn't include the name of the service.

Step 4) Click 'Ok' then 'Update' on the news article.
